Hello

Hello, I don't do a lot of introductions around here, but I probably should do more. I'm Kendra, owner of the Rosie Orchard. I am an artist and have my Masters of Fine Art from SMU. I paint in oils or work in mixed media. I love playing with materials and messing around in my studio. I taught at various community collages in the metroplex and landed at UTA for about 4 years where I taught Painting and Drawing. I am married and have 3 children, ages 18 months, 3 years, and 6 years. So life is very busy but I know these years will go by fast, so trying to slow down and enjoy it. I started the Rosie Orchard because I wanted to be able to control my schedule and I do feel like I have something to offer my community. I love children of all ages and want to offer a space for them to learn and grow creatively. I can teach many different mediums and techniques. I feel that the freedom to explore in an Art is fundamental, and where the real learning and creative growth takes place. So it is my goal to foster that space for my students. The picture here is me with my oldest daughter when she was one, working on a mural. Along with classes I offer mural painting and commissions. I hope to have new work up soon as well.
